Joy

This page is for things that just bring me joy.  Usually something in nature or architecture and design.  But sometimes my kids may show up in this section And motherhood!  Just bear with me.

  • Farmer's Markets and purple cauliflower.  If you like cauliflower and purple, this is the veggie for YOU!
I'm a newbie to farmer's markets. I go to the FM mainly for berries. So delicious! Sometimes I can't afford their wares and organic foods.  But, today I splurged a little and bought fresh challah, herbed goat cheese, and farm fresh eggs.  And, of course, I tried purple cauliflower just for something fun and different. Its tasty and just neat to cook with.  Even my kids liked it even though they thought it was weird.

  • I recently when walking in down town Salem, Or (finally!) and discovered many great little shops. I purchased a well done poetry book called Zombie Haiku by Ryan Mecum.  It is grossly hysterical and appeals to my twisted humor!

  • Today it's my puppy Ares.  Even though he pees on the floor he is just a wonderful dog!
